STEM Ed

STEM Ed is a program that includes opportunities and scholarships for science majors considering a career as a science teacher.  We have experiences to “preview” a career in teaching, such as the MSTI Crash Course in Science Education where you shadow a science teacher for a week.  This experience qualifies you to apply for a $500 MSTI scholarship.  You may also apply for the MSTI scholarships if you are enrolled in a prerequisite course or enter the science teaching credential program.  We have a limited number of paid tutoring positions in local schools.  We also oversee the SDSU Science Noyce Scholars and Interns program where undergraduates can work in local science camps for kids.  Additionally, if you enter the science teaching credential program we offer scholarships for $15,000.  See https://education2.sdsu.edu/stemed or contact Dr. Donna Ross DLRoss@sdsu.edu or Kendall Hoerner khoerner@sdsu.edu for more information.
